Dahlia Kang's Scenario
Background #
I ran Manheighten, the human stronghold. Manheighten was an island, loosely based on Manhattan. There were only three ways of getting onto the island: the George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln Tunnel, and the Holland Tunnel. Otherwise you had to fly over the Hudson River or swim through it.
The Dark Lady suspected the humans of having stolen her ring and of amassing a gigantic army to come and crush the monsters so she wanted the party to go into Manheighten and a) get the ring back and b) try to sabotage the army.
1st run #
The first party managed to infiltrate Manheighten via the GWBridge and got into the sewers beneath the human palace via the subway system. They managed a great deal of reconnaisance and mapped out the palace. They were also there to witness the king's ward, the Lady Clarissa, put on the ring that was supposed to be the Dark Lady's ring during the human celebration of the successful stealing of the ring.
2nd run #
The second party got into the palace and became friends with the Lady Clarissa, the king's ward, who was in charge of the human kingdom since the king was absent. She exhibited some strange and powerful abilities and recognized the monster party for what they were. The second party escaped with their lives despite their being discovered as monsters and brought back even more information about the palace, the Lady Clarissa, and the human army/navy.
3rd run #
The third party decided to take out the human army/navy. They hijacked the humans' state-of-the-art submarine and with it destroyed 5/6 of the human navy and killed 80% of the human army, about 1.3 million people.
4th run #
The fourth party decided on a direct assault on the Lady Clarissa in order to get her ring. They engaged in a full frontal assault and managed to kill her only to discover that she was a substitute, a doppelganger in league with Lady Clarissa, and the ring that Lady Clarissa had was not the Dark Lady's ring.
5th run #
The fifth party decided to kill Lady Clarissa even though she didn't have a ring. They planned extensively how to do this, and just barely managed to kill her. All of them survived although one of the characters was brought to 1 hit point only. With the death of Lady Clarissa, and the destruction of the human army/navy, the players had cracked virtually the whole scenario.
