Rob Owen's Scenario

1st Run - Dungeon Reaper #

Feng, advisor to the Dark Lord, sent out a party to kiss up to the DL's old mentor, the Mountain King, by having them build an outpost for the MK. After bullying their impish workforce into submission, and keeping their trollish workforce happy (by the combined efforts of two succubi and a doppelganger!), the party acquired a nice little lair... until they were nearly butchered by a party of Extasim, a.k.a. the Kamikaze Hassidic Ninjas. Although the foe was armed with Throwing Stars of David and Dreidels of Death, evil was nevertheless triumphant.

2nd Run - Kiss Ass and Kick Butt #

However, the Mountain King was still somewhat recalcitrant, so Feng sent the party to kiss ass with the Mountain King until he became more amenable to offering the DL's marital advice. After an interesting run-in with a village of drunken doppelgangers, the party began their insinuation into the MK's domain, involving a fair amount of socialization, pumping for information, and a near-disastrous-but-ever-so-ballsy seduction on the part of a doppelganger with cojones. The MK's lieutenants -- the brothers Fubar, Snafu and Tarfu -- provided much-needed comic (but VERY MACHO) relief. Narrowly avoiding a civil war caused by an invocation of Murphy's Law, the party was then informed of a subpoena that had been issued by the Spectral Persecutor for the Mountain King, and was ordered to intercept it. Thanks to our cunning, neither my nor Bob West's party realized that a clash of the titans was about to ensue... between each other. After a truly magnificent battle between two roughly equal parties, my party defended the honor of the Mountain King and saved the day.

3rd Run - Hooray for the Holy Wood #

Hot on the trail of Demonica Lewinsky, the party is ordered to travel to the demonic city of the Holy Wood -- City of Demons -- by both Feng and the Mountain King. The Mountain King wants an incipient rival, Phil Garnet, to bite the dust; Feng wants info on Demonica's checkered past; and neither one was satisfied by the party's venture. Missing every clue strewn in front of them (by the barest of margins, admittedly), the party ends up challenging Garnet to mortal combat... unaware that his body alone is a 12th level adamantium golem, his car is a 40' long Grand-Patterned semi-sentient familiar, and his bimbo is a 15th level succubus. Even improvising madly, the party was forced to make a humiliating retreat unsatisfied, thus missing their chance to have a second run-in with the Extasim, who were -- of course -- posing as extras in the latest sensation, Badly Dubbed Foreign Martial Arts Flicks. Oh well.
